It's actually not that bad. My actual job is listed as #8. I find #7 pretty amusing seeing as how I don't wear make-up, but I suppose that doesn't mean I couldn't put it on other people...
We're having "purple day" at work next Friday, because our company color is, you guessed it - purple. So this means we should not only wear purple, but be creative in how we do so. Naturally, I'm on the hunt for purple shoes. A few years ago I actually had a pair of 10-eye purple Dr. Martens, but they were a bit on the small side, so I eventually got rid of them. Earlier today, I was regretting that decision, until I found these:
There's a really nice girl who works in an area of the building near me, and she always says hi, but she thinks my name is Wendy. I don't have the heart to tell her it's Whitney. I never see her for more than a few seconds at a time, so I figure it's okay. Though, if someone eventually corrects her, that could be embarrassing...
However, I think this situation is marginally better than my sophomore year of high school when one of the peer counselors called me "Courtney" for about 2 months because I was too shy to correct him.
At least "Wendy" is close...
