At work, my group is in their own little room, but we're next to the sales training team. Who do training. So they provide food for the trainees. Lots of food. Guess what they do with the leftovers? They put it in the kitchen. Free food for the taking!

About half an hour ago, there was stuffed french toast, sausage, and bacon. I am not kidding when I tell you that I RAN to the kitchen. Because, Hello! Bacon!

I'm going to gain 10 pounds while working here.

So it sounds like we're leaning towards Spice Islands? On Friday, April 13th? I'm open for week-night suggestions as well. What do y'all say?

I made it to Austin without my head exploding. On BOTH flights, there were people who improperly applied perfume, and I thought I was going to DIE. On the San Jose to Dallas flight, it was one of the flight attendants. On the Dallas to Austin flight, it was the woman sitting next to me. Ugh. Thank goodness that flight is less than an hour.

Despite the humidity, it's been nice. Monday night I got to hang out at the Dog and Duck. I have three words for you: corn dog nuggets. YES. We had a fried food fest, including fried zucchini, fried mushrooms, and mini corn dogs. I don't think I'll need to eat another fried thing for a while. Of course, tater tots from Sonic may sway my decision on that.

Tonight I got to hang out on South Congress for a while. I had the best mojito ever at the South Congress Cafe, followed by a salad with warm goat cheese, proscuito and toasted pine nuts, and then some bread pudding that looked almost too good to eat (I took a photo). Of course, we had to dig in eventually, and it turned out that, indeed, it was as good as it looked.

If the weather wasn't so horrid, I might actually be able to get used to this place...
